- Lesson Plan →Objectives, pacing and practice, built from this lesson's brief.
- Guided Notes →One page your students fill in and keep.
- Exit Ticket →Three items at the end of class. No student accounts.
- Re-teach →After an exit ticket: who missed what, and what to do tomorrow.
- Homework →Assign practice; it grades itself.

A 601. Manipulate expressions and equations — score range 28-32, lines 315-316
AF 702. Build functions and write expressions, equations, and inequalities when the process requires planning and/or strategic manipulation — score range 33-36, lines 364-366

What you'll learn
- Solve a single-logarithm equation by isolating the logarithm and converting to exponential form
- Condense a multi-logarithm equation to a single logarithm before converting
- Solve an equation of the form $\log_b M = \log_b N$ by equating arguments, and say why that is legitimate
- Solve an exponential equation for its exponent by taking a logarithm of both sides
- Rewrite a logarithm in another base using change of base, and recognise $\frac{\log x}{\log b}$ as $\log_b x$
- Check every candidate solution against the original equation and discard extraneous ones
