-- Standard 6.SP.B.4
What you'll learn
- Construct a **dot plot** from a small numerical data set, with every value placed correctly on the number line.
- Construct a **histogram** from a numerical data set by choosing equal-width bins, tallying counts, and drawing bars whose heights represent counts.
- Compute the **five-number summary** (minimum, Q1, median, Q3, maximum) of a data set and use it to construct a **box plot**.
- Read center, spread, and shape from each plot type.
- Choose the most informative plot type for a given data set, given the size of the data set and the question being investigated.
