Guided Notes
Thirty copies, one sheet, something for them to write on.
One page your students fill in and keep. Sized for your copy budget.
The tool needs a free account. Browsing the lessons it is built on does not.
When you’d reach for it
The lesson runs on the thing students write on, put in a binder, and look at again in April. Making one per lesson by hand is an evening a week, and the ones you find online are for somebody else’s lesson.
Pick a standard, get one page — structured by that lesson’s own content chunks, with room to work, and short enough to fit a single sheet.
How it works
Pick the standard
One standard, one sheet. There is no packet builder and no week view here — that is the constraint that keeps it to a page.
Print the student copy
The default is the copy you hand out: structure and prompts, blanks left blank.
Print your own copy too
The teacher copy shows the completed lines and the answer key. It is a separate, clearly labelled action, so the class copy is never the one that gets photocopied by mistake.
Why not just ask a chatbot
It is not scraped from the slide deck. We built that version first and the corpus killed it: the decks run 11 to 35 slides, which is two to four pages, not one. These are built from the lesson’s authored content chunks instead — which is the reason they fit a sheet, and the reason nobody else ships them for the lesson you are actually teaching.
What it does not do
Better to know now than to find out on a Sunday.
One standard per page. It does not compile a week into a packet.
It prints from the browser — what your copier does with it is what you get. There is no separate export step.
What it needs: A standard whose brief carries content chunks. Available across Grades 4–12; where the chunks are missing the button is absent rather than broken.
What it leads to
Guided Notes is complete on its own. These are the other four, and the moment each one becomes worth having.
One page your students fill in and keep. Sized for your copy budget.
A free account opens Guided Notes and the other four.
