- Lesson Plan →Objectives, pacing and practice, built from this lesson's brief.
- Guided Notes →One page your students fill in and keep.
- Exit Ticket →Three items at the end of class. No student accounts.
- Re-teach →After an exit ticket: who missed what, and what to do tomorrow.
- Homework →Assign practice; it grades itself.

What you'll learn
- Solve a one-variable first-degree equation or inequality, including variables on both sides, parentheses, and fractional or decimal coefficients
- Identify an equation with all real numbers or no solution as its solution set from the collapsed forms $0 = 0$ and $0 = c$
- Reverse the inequality sign exactly when both sides are multiplied or divided by a negative, and solve a compound inequality $a < mx + b < c$
- Graph a one-variable solution set on the number line with correct endpoint style and direction, and match a solution set to its graph in both directions
- Answer the question as asked — including "least integer" and "greatest integer" variants — rather than reporting the raw solution
