1.

Use the Remainder Theorem to find the remainder when p(x)=x4+x210p(x) = x^4 + x^2 - 10 is divided by (x+2)(x + 2).

Note: (x+2)=(x(2))(x + 2) = (x - (-2)), so a=2a = -2.
