choice. Which variable is independent and which is dependent?

Minutes is independent (you choose it); pages printed is dependent (it's determined by the minutes).

Pages printed is independent (you choose it); minutes is dependent (it's determined by the pages).

Both are independent, since either could be chosen first.

Neither is independent or dependent — they are just two separate numbers.
